2011-2020

January 2011.
Change of leadership at the top of the club. Helmut Zindler was the last to present the annual report for the past year. After six years at the head of the board, he is handing over the management of the club. His successor is
Frank Preisendörfer
elected as 1st Chairman.
December 2011.
The
ADAC Hessen Rallye is breaking new ground. Hessenhalle in Alsfeld will be the new rally center. The ACS invited regional press representatives to a press conference in the clubhouse. The planned city circuit, to mark next year's city anniversary, in conjunction with a greater need for service areas, are the basis for the decision.

June 2012.
The city course was a crowd puller at the rally and many representatives from local politics wanted it to be repeated in 2013. The situation from the organizer's point of view and the criteria that need to be considered and resolved were therefore explained to the city's political committees in a joint meeting about the future of the rally. According to the ACS, they would like to return the rally to Schlitz in full.
April 2013.
The Vogelsberg Rally is back in Schlitz. Lots of new and familiar things. Thanks to the consent of the property owners, the expansion of the service area was possible. All in all, this amounts to an area of more than 15,000 m², which is only available to the owners for a limited period of around one week. The new start and finish gate also celebrated its premiere.
July 2013.
Since its construction and first test drive in 1983, the Bimmel-Lieschen, or BL for short, has taken part in a large number of parades of all kinds. The ACS players took this 30th anniversary as an opportunity to meet up with some of their former colleagues in the clubhouse and celebrate a little.
October 2014.
Finally! Hesse championship on two wheels in Schlitz. After many years of effort, Peter Richtberg managed to bring the youth cycling state tournament to Schlitz. Previously it had failed due to the lack of a suitable hall, but the comprehensive school's sports hall was able to be used for this purpose, subject to certain conditions.
April 2015.
This is also a rally: Mayor Schäfer as co-driver of the German champion and OPEL driver Horst Rotter on the special stages "Kreutzersgrund" and "Willofs" at a brisk pace. The mayor obviously enjoyed Rotter's driving skills and was pleased with the crowds of spectators.
May 2016.
Mobile rarities on the Schlitzer market square. On the way to the Wasserkuppe (nomen est omen) it was raining so heavily early on Friday morning that the stopover on the Schlitzer market square was a must without umbrellas. The 22nd ADAC Hessen-Thüringen vintage car tour had arrived for a stage check after exploring the border region. Around 90 vintage cars got their boarding pass stamped and rushed off the market square under the watchful eyes of spectators.
November 2017.
There will be no round of the German Rally Championship in Schlitz in 2018!
After 13 rally races in the German Rally Championship and one race in the ADAC Rally Masters (2006), the ACS has cancelled the event for the first time in 2018. This decision was made by the board for a number of reasons.
Various interests, combined with requirements and expectations that were increasingly pushing the limits, could no longer be realized within the imaginable framework. This cancellation was not easy for those responsible for the rally organization and the board, especially given that we could have celebrated our 50th anniversary as a rally organizer in 2018. But it was the sum of all the pending problems that would have made it very difficult to ensure the usual standards and quality of the event.
March 2019.
There were two "small anniversaries" at the beginning of the year. First, the support association looked back on its 15th anniversary, which was celebrated in a small group in the clubhouse.
Also in March there was the 25th ACS traffic information evening, to which members and guests were invited.
